Answer:

A vocational degree is an academic degree that is offered for students at the post-secondary level. This degree is taken after completing high school education and is specifically chosen by students aspiring to pursue a career in a specific trade such as automotive machinery, cosmetology, healthcare, manufacturing, plumbing, electrical work, construction, business, and many more. Completing a vocational degree is much faster compared to completing a bachelor's degree since vocational training courses can last from only a couple of months up to two years. Compared to other undergraduate degrees, a vocational degree is primarily focused on directly training the skills of their students in their chosen trade or career and immersing them in practical experience to further develop their skills. Still, vocational degree holders may experience a disadvantage to other undergraduate degree holders since they are limited in career varieties and chances for promotions in their chosen career path. There is also a relatively wide variety of salaries earned among vocational degree holders.
