What GPA do you need to be an architect?

In order to be admitted to an undergraduate architecture program, maintaining a GPA that is not lower than 2.8 is highly recommended for all senior high school students. This is because some architecture programs in various universities across the United States prefer applicants with better GPA over those students with lower grades. Though there is no minimum GPA requirement to take the Architect Registration Examination (ARE), gaining architectural experience would be difficult for students with a GPA that is below 3.0. According to professionals, a good GPA will always reflect the hard work of students during their undergraduate years, and for this reason, some graduate architecture program committees are straightforward to remind all architecture students that they always prefer to accept applicants with a GPA of 3.0 or 4.0. Nonetheless, graduating with a degree in architecture will be more rewarding should they pass the ARE with a very attractive academic record in their resume.
