There are several requirements that graduate schools require for admission. Many graduate schools have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 but many accepted students typically have a GPA of 3.4 to 3.6. These graduate programs require that a student have a Bachelor of Science degree as well as take the Graduate Record Exams (GRE) as well as some other tests with various score requirements. Colorado State University offers a Doctorate in Engineering program that requires only a 3.0 or greater. There are some tests such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language and International English Testing System may be required for those who are not native to the United States or who don't speak english as their primary language. The University of Georgia's College of Engineering has a required GPA of 3.0 but the average student GPA range is much higher than that and their GRE scores are in the 80th percentile. Purdue Global's Electrical and Computer Engineering program has a typical GPA range of 3.6 or higher. It seems the higher ther GPA the better the chance of admittance into the program.
