There are five schools on the National Center for Education Statistics' (NCES) list of schools in Georgia that offer mechanical engineering programs.
Four schools, Kennesaw State University, Georgia Southern University, the Georgia Institute of Technology, and the University of Georgia are public universities, and one, Mercer University, is a private, nonprofit University. Georgia Institute of technology, Georgia Southern University, Kennesaw Stare University, and the University of Georgia offer Undergraduate degree programs in mechanical engineering. Georgia Institute of Technology, Kennesaw State University, and Mercer University offer graduate degree programs in mechanical engineering. According to the NCES, all five schools are institutionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools' Commission on Colleges, but none of the schools' mechanical engineering programs are programmatically accredited.
