Many schools (both four year universities and community colleges) in Arizona offer radiology programs, including Arizona Western College, Central Arizona College, GateWay Community College, Mohave Community College, Pima Community College, Pima Medical Institute, and Yavapai College. The specific program and focus of each radiology department depends on the school you choose, although most all of them offer an Associate's Degree of Applied Science, which is the entry-level certification needed to pursue a job in radiology. All of these programs are accredited by JRCERT, or the Join Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.

In addition to completing a relevant program, those considering a career in radiology in Arizona must also pass the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists exam (ARRT). You will also need to apply for licensure within the state of Arizona, which will last for two years and then require continuing education to be renewed.
