Answer:

ROTC programs allow a student to attend college on a significant tuition scholarship. Upon graduation, students who have completed ROTC programs then have a requirement to serve as active-duty military service for a minimum of five years. There are ROTC programs for multiple branches of the military, including the United States Marine Corp, the Army, and the Navy. There are two universities in Louisiana that host Navy ROTC programs. These schools also offer Cross-Town Affiliate Programs, that allow students studying at other schools to also participate in their ROTC program and activities. Southern University and A&M is one of these, and they offer Cross-Town Affiliate ROTC programs to students studying at Baton Rouge Community College, Louisiana State University, and Southeastern Louisiana University. Tulane University is also home to a Navy ROTC program, and offers Cross-Town Affiliate Programs at Dillard University, Loyola University, the University of New Orleans, and Xavier University.
