What classes do you take to major in architecture?

Majoring in architecture requires students to take classes such as math, physics, calculus, structures, material science, computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), construction methods, geometry, fluid dynamics, and architectural theory. These courses include the fundamental theories and concepts for students that want to major in architecture. For most positions in this field, a bachelor's degree is enough. Bachelor of Architecture degree programs often take five years to complete and they usually include some work experience for students to get familiar with this field. In the U.S., architecture programs are accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). A bachelor's degree will allow you to start your career as an architect. However, if you want to get specialized in a specific area, you will need to get a master's degree. Master's programs can take from 1 to 5 years to complete. After you complete your education, you will need to get licensed through the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
