Answer:

Penn Foster is a private online school that has houses three different sectors for education ranging from high school to college. The three different schools are: Penn Foster High School, Penn Foster Career School, and Penn Foster College. Penn Foster Career School and Penn Foster high school have both earned regional and national accreditation. Penn Foster College has earned national accreditation. With that being said, Penn Foster would be considered accredited in Michigan. All of Penn Foster's schools are accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC). Penn Foster Career School and Penn Foster High School are also accredited by the Commission on Secondary Schools of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Penn Foster is accredited, but they do encourage their students to inquire about acceptance and transfers before enrolling. Just because they are an accredited entity does not mean that their degrees and credits are accepted or transferrable to all other agencies.
