A letter grade of D is a passing grade at Grand Canyon University (GCU), but this is not enough overall to graduate. The GPA value of the letter grade D is 1.00 and the point scale is 60-69 or 72-75 depending on the program. At this level, the performance is below standard. To graduate from GCU, you will need a letter grade of C. The GPA value is 2.00 and the performance is average or standard. The point scale at this level is 70-76 or 76-79. The point scale for nursing programs is higher than the point scale for other programs hence the difference in levels. So for nursing the passing point scale is 76-79 and for the other programs it's 70-76. A letter grade of F is considered failure and the GPA is 0.00. If you are performing at a superior or outstanding level then your letter grade will be an A and the point scale is 93-100 or 95-100.
