Besides gaining an education in computer design and art, it is important to build one's portfolio, which may be requested when applying to jobs. The BLS states that in the next decade, jobs for multimedia artists are expected to increase by 4%, which is as fast as average (2019). Most multimedia designers are self-employed, but some are hired by the television and movie industry.
