Answer:
From the Recruitment and Selections webpage of the Connecticut State Police website, it was indicated that as of 2019, the base salary for a trooper trainee while in academy is $50,000. Upon successful completion of the academy, state troopers are then entitled to a salary of $65,086 per year. This does not include the overtime pay as well as the shift differential pay that all troopers are eligible to receive. Troopers are also entitled to free uniforms and dry-cleaning, wherein they can receive as much as $500 of cleaning stipend annually. This does not include the daily meal allowance they are also entitled to. State troopers are also entrusted with a state car that they can use for off-duty activities or personal activities as long as the regulations and requirements for off-duty use are approved. Health and dental insurance, and paid leaves are also among the benefits of becoming a member of the Connecticut State Police.
