Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification is the most recognized certification globally in the information security market. According to isc2.org, having CISSP certification is a clear indication that the professional has "deep technical and managerial knowledge and experience to effectively design, engineer, and manage the overall security posture of an organization."
To verify certification or designation, use this website: https://www.isc2.org/MemberVerification
To search, you will need your (ISC)² ID number. This was assigned when you created an account with Pearson VUE for exam registration. You can find your ID number on your profile page on the (ISC)² website located here https://www.isc2.org/Certifications/CISSP. Click "log in" in the upper right corner to log in or to create an account. You can also contact support at MemberSuppport@isc2.org if you need more help.
The exam for earning CISSP certification is three hours long. The exam is comprised of 100-150 items that include multiple choice and advanced innovative items. Passing the exam requires earning at least 700 of the 1,000 possible points.
