Answer:

There are two main types of Commercial Food Equipment Service Association (CFESA) certifications: Certified CFESA Service Technician and Certified CFESA Master Technician. While these certifications have different levels of mastery, the paths to complete them are the same. Before beginning your certification training, you must have over 1 year of on-the-job training/experience, with recommended additional experience. Next, you must attend various training courses, which you can sign up for at dev.cfesa.com. On this website, you can sign up for NTT, Electric, Gas, Steam, Water Quality, and Refrigeration training courses.

Then, you can participate in factory training, webinars, and similar courses. Before you take the final exam, you must study the Tech Train Manual and the National Code Books in Gas, Electric, Steam or Refrigeration. Finally, after 2 years in the industry, you will be able to schedule a certification exam with CFESA in each specialization area, which can be done through CFESA's website.
