How do I get a UAS assessment certification?

In order to get a Uniform Assessment System (UAS) certification, which was developed and implemented in 2013 by New York State's Department of Health, you must go through their website and take the web-based training that they have created, since it is certification that is governed by the New York Department of Health. This training is also self-paced, so the speed at which you work through the materially is entirely up to you. However, it is recommended to contact the NY Department of Health in order to find out the steps to access the UAS-NY Training Environment, since it uses the Moodle platform to host the courses. With that being said, if upgrading your nursing background is your ultimate goal, then there are numerous different certificates and short-term training opportunities that you could take advantage of that will help freshen up your resume and give you an edge during a job search.
