According to The International Society For Clinical Densitometry (ISCD), Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist (CBDT) is a certificate for technologists who perform bone densitometry scans. When you take this exam be prepared for 150 multiple choice questions and a three and a half-hour time limit to finish the exam. To be eligible to take the exam you must meet the requirements found in the CBDT Handbook & Application. You will need to download this handbook when you are ready to apply and fill out the exam application within it. Once done you can submit the application by fax or mail. Remember to send your payment when you submit the application. To take the exam you will have to travel to a PSI testing site for computer-based testing or find a pre-selected ISCD site that offers paper and pencil exams. When you finish the exam you can expect your results in about four weeks.
