Answer:
The minimum essential qualification for orthodontics aspiring to work in the Air Force is a Doctoral Degree in Dental Surgery or Doctor Medicine in Dentistry. This degree should be from an American Dental Association accredited university or college.
The candidates must complete a residency program in orthodontics. This residency training is reviewed and should be satisfactory to General Surgeon. Also, the age limit set by the Air Force for aspirants is between the ages 18 and 48. They must also be adept in modern technology and equipment. Orthodontists without prior experience in military service must complete Commissioned officer Training. The training is a five and half week course provided at Maxwell Air Force Base (AFB). The training will provide insights on orthodontics life in military healthcare as officers.
In the Air force, orthodontics will treat military members and their families. Orthodontics diagnose and treat them in various teeth and jaw disorders. The military orthodontics work from all bases in the Air Force to maintain healthy teeth, jaw, and smile.
