Answer:

The Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification is determined by the requirements set by the Department of Defense (DoD). More importantly, only DoD employers, military, and Armed Police Force (APF) can quality for DAWIA. Therefore, different branches will have different requirements, so check to see which requirements are needed. In addition, one will need to take several predecessor courses, which are listed in the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) website. The core requirement courses will be Level I: Basic or Entry Level, Level II: Intermediate or Journeyman Level, and Level III: Advanced or Senior Level. Once a person receives certification, they will always be certified. Once all of the requirements have been completed, contact the Acquisition Training Office for application. Consider viewing the DAU's iCatalog for more information and details.
