Answer:
Nursing has been around for centuries and spans across multiple different eras and periods of history. Due to this fact, it will have evolved as the times changed around it, and this is even still true when you compare modern nursing schools to what was a standard nursing education in the 1980's. That particular decade was also marked by the movement of nursing students seeking more training through universities and pursuing degrees at an advanced level. Since the nature of the medical field and nursing has changed since the 1980's, the content you learn will also be different. There will be new and improved treatment and nursing techniques that have come about with the advancement of medical knowledge and patient care. As a result, becoming a nurse will feel difficult at times, and it was likely the same for nurses in the 1980's as well, because getting into the nursing field will always involve a learning curve and studying can always be made more challenging by external factors in someone's life.
