Florida Bright Futures Scholarships are not available to students outside of Florida, nor can they be transferred to colleges and universities within any state other than Florida. Florida Bright Futures Scholarships are, however, available to all Florida High School students who meet certain academic and civic requirements. Students must have a high GPA (3.0-3.5) and must pass the ACT or SAT with high scores (Please refer to their website for specifics regarding acceptable scores). To receive this award, students must also complete 100 hours of community service, approved by an administrator at their school. Since Florida Bright Futures is only accepted by state universities and colleges in Florida, the scholarship can only be transferred between eligible postsecondary institutions in the state.
