Answer:
The University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) does not have an engineering program. Still, they have enacted a system through which the students can complete an engineering degree after completing a three-year degree course in science from UNCW.
The system enacted by them is known as the 3+2 Process. This Process is unique as it establishes a relation between two universities, the University of North Carolina Wilmington and the North Carolina State University (NC State). This Process states that students have to complete a three-year degree in any science subject that the UNCW will offer. Then after completing this degree, the students will be enrolled on an engineering course offered by NC State. This engineering course will be for two years, so according to this plan, the students will acquire two degrees in five years. Following is the combination of science and engineering courses that will be offered under the 3+2 Process:
1. Computer science (3 years): Computer Engineering (2 years)
2. Computer Science (3 years): Electrical Engineering (2 years)
3. Environmental Science (3 years): Environmental Engineering (2 years)
4. Physics (3 years): Electrical Engineering (2 years)
