Answer:

The University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill does not offer a criminal justice major or minor. Some related majors that are available include psychology and sociology, along with conflict management as an available minor. Though the coursework is not identical to a criminal justice program, there is a lot of overlap between criminal justice and these majors and minor. Depending on a student's intended career path one of the alternative majors may be a good option. If not, there are several other schools in the UNC system that do have a criminal justice program or a program very nearly the same including:

  • Appalachian State University
  • East Carolina Univeristy
  • Elizabeth City State University
  • Fayetteville State University
  • North Carolina A&T State University
  • North Carolina Central University
  • North Carolina State (offers a criminology program)
  • University of North Carolina- Charlotte
  • University of North Carolina- Pembroke
  • Western Carolina University
  • Winston Salem State University (offers a justice studies program)
