Does graduate school have early decision?

Graduate schools set their own methods for applying for admission. For that reason, some may offer early decision and some may not. Students should be aware that early decision is considered to be binding, which means that if they are admitted under early decision, they are obligated to attend and withdraw any applications they may have submitted to other colleges and universities. Students should be sure that a particular school is their top choice prior to submitting an application under early decision.

Students who are not ready to commit to a school should pursue other application methods such as regular decision or early action, should a school offer that as an option. Early action is similar to early decision in that it allows a student to apply early and receive an admissions decision early. But early action is non-binding, which offers students more flexibility in the decision-making process.
