Answer:

Although we typically think of a Bachelor's as needing 4 years of University time, it can be possible to obtain your bachelor's in a shorter amount of time. There are a few ways to do this. This most common way to cut down on your University time is to start at a Community College first. Doing this will save you time and money as you will complete the first 2 years at the Community College, and most will graduate with an associate's before transferring, and then transfer over to a University to complete the program and obtain your Bachelor's degree. Technically it still took a total of 4 years, but split up. You can also test out of classes with the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) Exam.

Another way to shorten your University time is to start early in high school by taking advanced classes that count as both high school and college credits. This means that when you eventually enter college, depending on how many advanced classes you took, you may be well into your degree already.

Another popular way is to look for accelerated degree programs. These are the same classes that you would normally take but in a much more condensed time frame. This could mean 5 weeks, 6 weeks, or 8-week classes. You can also make sure to take classes during your summer semesters instead of taking them off, and you can even look for night classes.
