Williams School of Graduate Studies at Appstate provides information on how double majors work. If a student is enrolled at Appstate and is in good standing they can request to add another program to their major. To do this, they have to use the "Change Program" form which is titled, "Change of Graduate Program For Enrolled Graduate Students at Appalachian". Here they can make the best choice for their situation and what changes they want to make in their studies. The major change can be for the same degree or a different degree. Two majors count up to 50% of the course work. All of the courses that are mandatory in both programs must be completed in order to graduate. Up to 50% of the courses are allowed to overlap and both majors are to be completed at the same time.
