Albany Technical College
Students at Albany Technical College in Albany can pursue three automotive certificates and two diplomas. The college has a 14-credit auto climate control certificate, a 17-credit auto chassis certificate and an 18-credit auto transmission/transaxle certificate. Athens Technical College
Athens Technical College, located in Athens, offers certificates and a diploma involving automotive technology. The certificates range in credits from 9-18 and include automotive transmission/transaxle, automotive engine repair, automotive engine performance, automotive electrical/electronic systems, automotive chassis and automotive climate control.
The automotive technology diploma is 44 credits, and major requirements cover topics in engine performance, brake and electrical systems, climate control systems and steering. Students also have the opportunity to participate in an internship.

Central Georgia Technical College
Located in Macon, Central Georgia Technical College has three certificate and two diploma programs that prepare students to work as mechanics. The automotive chassis certificate is 17 credits and focuses on electrical and brake systems. The automotive climate control certificate is 14 credits, while the engine performance certificate is 16 credits.
Students enrolled in the automotive technology diploma are required to complete 55 credits and take courses in automotive electrical, automotive engine performance and automotive engine repair. The automotive fundamentals diploma is 40 credits and includes courses in automotive electrical and automotive engine performance.

Chattahoochee Technical College
Based in Marietta, Chattahoochee Technical College offers two automotive diplomas and an associate degree.
