There is a growing concern in obtaining online college degrees as many perceive it as useless and a waste of time and money for students who want to be hired as professionals. This misconception, however, is not true in any sense because online college degrees are accredited and authorized for academic institutions to award associate's or bachelor's degree to their students. Though scholars were initially concerned about lack of face-to-face interaction, lack of rigor, and increased potential for cheating, employers have grown to accept that a degree obtained online is still a degree that must be treated with the same standard as those obtained traditionally. Today, however, employers across the United States widely accept the fact that not all students may have the resources to work and study at the same time, hence the growing acceptance. This is also supported by the feedback of employers and companies about hiring skilled and excellent employees who took their degree online but performed well in their workplaces.
